Welcome!

This site is still very much a work in progress. I have several objectives in mind, however, in developing it.

• It is a handy way for me to access and post addresses and perhaps other information I may need while traveling. The address book database was, in fact, the first feature I created on this site and it has already proven to be very useful to me.

• It is an on-line portfolio of some of my work as a web designer and programer. This is pretty much a no-brainer. If you create web sites for a living, where else would you keep your portfolio?

• It is a lab for me to tinker with different Web-based programing languages and related technologies. I built the address book, the frequent flyer program, and the photo gallery databases while learning to use PHP and MySQL.

• It is a place for me to play around with things that interest me. To date, it is my interest in travel and photography that is finding its way on to this site. I am developing comparative information on airline frequent flyer programs that to my knowledge can not be found anywhere else on the Web. I am also gradually posting some of my favorite travel photos on the site.

• Finally, this site is also an opportunity for me to make a pitch on behalf of the environment as well as a handful of other causes I support.
